Second, the U.S. and Iran exchanged live fire on the same day, yet VIX compressed further — a bet that tactical skirmishes won't derail the deal. Third, a single cloud company's 37% pop dragged the entire AI narrative another leg higher — a bet that yesterday's story can extend forever. Three layers of consensus stacked in the same direction, leaning the same way, with almost no dissenting voice left in price.
But the experiment's rules prohibit shorting, volatility trades, and leverage. Within a long-only toolkit, the only clean contrarian expression is the cash already on hand. Gap clarity: 5 out of 10, below the threshold for entry.
